Quality Control Inspectors needed for Multiple locations; New Boston, Plymouth, Detroit, Romulus, Westland,  Rochester Hills, and Sterling Heights

Staff Source is seeking Visual Quality Inspectors for multiple locations throughout metropolitan Detroit area–  All shifts available 1^st shift 6am- 2:30 pm  2^nd shift M-Fri 2pm – 10pm;   We provide 3^rd party Quality containment work.  All of our positions involve QC work on automotive interior and exterior parts including different components of windshields, seating, door parts, dashboards, convertible tops, etc.  No prior plant work is required.  We will train!  Pay  rate is $ 16.00/ hour.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough examinations of all materials and finished products
• Conduct and report internal audits and evaluations
• Identify problems and defects
• Participate in routine visual inspections and rework
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Production Hi-Lo Driver/Shipping and Receiving Material Handler in Sterling Heights, MI

   2^nd Shift  Production Hi-Lo Driver/Material Handler needed for Automotive manufacturing Company located  in Sterling Heights, MI

Staff Source is seeking a 2nd shift Production Hi-lo Driver/Material Handler for facility located in Sterling Heights.  Hi-Lo Driver/Material Handler is responsible for ensuring efficient material flow within the plant by unloading and unloading materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks, into Semi-trucks  and storage facilities.  Also responsible for  keeping operations stocked with materials and supplies.  Second Shift  2:00 PM – 10:00 PM.  Position is temp to Hire.  Pay range is $  $18.00 hour.

Responsibilities for Hi-Lo Driver/Material Handler:

• Loading and unloading of trucks according to BOL
• Stacking empty pallets and bins
• Labeling, packing, inspection of parts
• Checking loads are secure
• Moving goods in the correct storage bays, following Inventory Control Instructions.
• Stacking empty pallets/bins
• Operate the Hi-lo in a safe and responsible manner, abiding by the rules of safe Hi-lo operation and complete a daily Hi-lo checklist for the maintenance department.
• Must participate in 5S responsibilities
• Driver responsible to notify the maintenance department and their supervisor if the Hi-lo is not operating correctly.
• Dumping materials including scrap into machine hoppers
• Use of ERP System – Plex
• Empty scrap from containers into the correct scrap hopper.

• Support scrap pickup activities as required including weight certification of scrap containers
• Removing machine attachments and waste material from machines as required.
• Ensure that company policies and procedures are followed.

Requirements for Hi-Lo Driver/Material Handler:

• Must have knowledge and experience with ERP System – Plex
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Hi-lo driver in a manufacturing environment.
• Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs–ability to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, etc.
• Ability to follow MIOSHA safety requirements.
• Knowledge and compliance of safety procedures and policies required

Maintenance Technician, Sterling Heights, MI

Staff Source is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a Plastics Manufacturing Facility located in Sterling Heights, MI.  This is a day shift 8:00 am – 4:00 pm  The rate of pay is dependent on experience $28-$32/ hour.  Fantastic benefit package once hired in!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of Maintenance Technician:

• Trouble Shooting -Responsible for the maintenance and repair 75-750 ton Van Dorn (65 and 700 ton Van Dorns  150-200 Milacron
• Must be able to write preventative maintenance policy and procedures
•  Must be able to detect and diagnose malfunction and discuss machine operation with supervisors and other maintenance workers in order to repair machines
• Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, transformers and wiring, and electrical components of machinery and equipment
• Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts
•  Visually inspects and tests Machines and equipment
• Lays out, assembles, installs and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
• Repairs and replaces gauge, valves, pressure regulators and  other related equipment
•  Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to join metal parts
• Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, etc.

Requirements of Maintenance Technician:

• Strong Mechanical and technical  skills are required
• Must be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and diagrams.
•  Must possess electrical and electronic molding machine knowledge
•  Must have your own tools
•  Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs on a regular basis

Die Setter

Staff Source is seeking a Die Setter for a Plastics Manufacturing facility located in Sterling Heights, MI.  This is a first shift temp to Hire position.  The Shift fun 8 am – 4 pm.  The rate of pay is $19.00 – $ 21.00 depending on level of experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of Die Setter: 

• Set up sample and production tooling
• Getting the work station ready for production
• Read and interpret set up information on Process set-up sheets
• Die Setter performs machine and tool preventive maintenance  as required and directed
• Act as Assistant to the Foreman
• Remove the finished tool from the press
• Set in the new tool
• Will oversea the production area and coordinate with custodian, material handler and Foreman.
• Strong Mathematical skills

Carpet Cleaning Technician, Sterling Heights, MI

Staff Source is seeking individuals to join a Carpet Cleaning team as Technician Trainees for a Residential and Commercial cleaning company located in Sterling Heights, MI.  This is a temp to hire position.  Pay rate is $ 16.00/ hour.   No prior experience is required comprehensive training is provided.  The ideal candidates should be clean cut, able to communicate effectively with customers,  is trainable, enthusiastic, and eager to learn.

Basic Qualifications of Carpet Cleaning Technician:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Have the willingness and ability to learn and work alongside a qualified technician
• Lift, push, and pull objects up to 50lbs as necessary
• Must be able to pass a Drug test

Shifts Available:

1st shift : 8:30am/9:00am   Monday to Friday (must work every other Saturday): 5:00pm – 10:00pm/11:00pm

Pay Rate: $16/hr  Potential for promotion/increased pay after 6-12 months (based on performance)

Responsibilities:

• Assist in carpet cleaning operations under the guidance of experienced technicians
• Employee is to report to the main facility at the start of their shift. From there, employee will ride along with a head technician on a route to various residential/commercial locations where they will perform their duties (see duties below).
• Follow established procedures and safety guidelines under the supervision of a Head Technician (see below)
• Pre-Inspection: Assess the condition of carpets and identify any stains, spots, or areas requiring special attention before starting the cleaning process.
• Preparation: Set up equipment and tools needed for carpet cleaning, including portable or truck-mounted cleaning machines, hoses, wands, and cleaning solutions.
• Spot Treatment: Apply appropriate cleaning solutions to treat stains and spots on carpets, using techniques such as blotting, scrubbing, or steaming.
• Carpet Cleaning: Operate carpet cleaning equipment to thoroughly clean carpets, removing dirt, dust, allergens, and stains. This may involve techniques such as hot water extraction, dry cleaning, or steam cleaning.
• Furniture Moving: Move lightweight furniture as needed to access all areas of the carpet for cleaning. This includes sofas, chairs, tables, and other items that may obstruct cleaning.
• High-Traffic Area Focus: Pay special attention to high-traffic areas of carpets that may be more heavily soiled or stained, ensuring thorough cleaning and restoration.
• Drying: Use drying techniques such as air movers or fans to expedite the drying process after cleaning, ensuring carpets are ready for use as quickly as possible.
• Final Inspection: Conduct a final inspection of carpets to ensure they meet quality standards and customer satisfaction. Address any remaining spots or concerns before completing the job.
• Customer Interaction: Interact with customers professionally, addressing any questions or concerns they may have about the cleaning process or results. Provide recommendations for carpet maintenance and follow-up services as needed.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance tasks on cleaning equipment, such as cleaning filters, emptying waste tanks, and ensuring all components are in proper working order.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of services performed, including details of the cleaning process, any issues encountered, and customer feedback. Complete necessary paperwork and reports.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, your colleagues, and customers. This includes proper handling of equipment, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and awareness of potential hazards.
